GREEN STEEL AT DOERRENBERG
The plant configuration allows us to produce special materials for special requirements. We focus on melting tool steels such as the cold work steel 1.2379, the hot work steels 1.2343 or 1.2344 as well as high-speed steels with tungsten, molybdenum and vanadium such as 1.3343. Another focus is on stainless steels with higher carbon contents such as 1.4112 and the classic austenites with carbon contents of less than 0.06 % such as 1.4301. The low-alloy engineering steels round off the range at the bottom end.
The best possible use of raw materials and energy together with efficiently designed production processes and the electric steel process offer the possibility of low-emission steel production.
