1860‒1990

The company "Eduard Dörrenbergs Söhne" was founded in 1860 by Friedrich, Rudolph and Eduard Dörrenberg. Through the acquisition of the Ründerother Hammer, the company established itself as a manufacturer of high-quality refined steel and in 1875 developed the stainless steel Janus, which laid the foundation for today's Dörrenberg logo. In the years that followed, Dörrenberg focused on technical innovations and expanded its business areas, such as the introduction of coating processes and the establishment of new company branches.

1990‒2020

A reorganization in 1990 led to the creation of the basic business areas and increased sales in Western Europe. The takeover by GESCO SE Industrie Holding AG in 1996 enabled major investments, modernization and expansion of the company. The managing directors began a comprehensive renovation and modernization of the Ründeroth site, followed by a steady expansion and internationalization of the company. New technologies and locations worldwide, including partnerships in important markets, characterized this period of expansion.

2024

Today, Doerrenberg is at the forefront of the metallurgical industry. The company has consolidated its position through continuous innovation, strategic site expansions and international partnerships. Advanced materials and research collaborations with renowned universities illustrate the company's ongoing innovative strength. Doerrenberg continues to focus on forward-looking strategies to meet the changing demands of the industry and remain a global leader in metallurgy.
